Becoming Productive on the Internet

Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.

— Paul J. Meyer

The Internet is fathomless, you think that you finally have got the information of becoming productive on the internet and then someone shares something with you and a whole lot of new worlds open up. There are several stages of using the internet. First, we are amazed by its awesome features and we hang out at the most obvious places of all i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.

Then we realize the importance of our time and start becoming productive, and we get a whole lot of new ways of becoming productive in almost every aspect of our life. We start finding places to get answers i.e. Quora, Stack Overflow, etc.

The next stage is that we start finding like-minded communities meaning people like us. This is the point where we start to hang out to less known places like Reddit, SoundCloud, Coursera, WordPress, HackerEarth, LeetCode etc. I am currently away from the mainstream internet and it’s amazing to hang out in such places. With that said I am pretty sure there are still hundreds of such places which I am unaware of and I still have to find them out.
